Failed Root Canal Removal

Healthy Tooth

Root-treated, dead tooth

How are failed root-treated teeth involved in the origin of chronic diseases?

Root-treated teeth are dead teeth. Even the most perfect endodontic treatment will not be able to realize a perfectly bacteria-proof sealing of the treated root. The lateral microscopic canals cannot be treated. The dead tooth will be populated by various, partly unknown species of anaerobic, pathogenic bacteria that feed on the remaining organic tissue and secrete highly
toxic and potentially cancer-causing
hydrogen sulfides (Thioether/Mercaptan).
By irreversible inhibition of the active centre
of many endogenous vital enzymes, these toxins
can become the cause of varied systemic and
organic diseases. Every chewing process releases
these bacteria and above all their toxins into the
lymphatic system of the surrounding tissue.
From here they reach the bloodstream (focal infection)
and the entire organism.

Bacteria can enter dental microscopic canals in several layers. Our white blood cells, which are designed to fight them, are 20 times larger and cannot penetrate. This makes dead teeth a perfect and safe environment for any kind of germs to live in.

The Solution

If you've had root canal treatment, we highly recommend getting checked for any signs of inflammation or cysts at the root tips! A healthy body is often capable of handling chronic issues for a time, but it's essential to find a solution. Exciting research from Dr. Lechner and Dr. von Baehr
reveals that local issues from endodontically treated teeth can lead to local and systemic challenges. When extraction is the only reliable solution, we'll take proactive steps by removing the affected tooth, thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting the area, using A.R.T., Ozone, PRF, and Neural Therapy.
